The number of students enrolling in technical vocational education and training programmes has increased, this is according to the Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board.
According to, Executive Secretary of UBTEB Onesmus Oyesigye, the board has enrolled over 87,000 students from 601 centres nationwide for the upcoming November-December examination.
He says that in previous years, candidates have often ranged between 35,000 and 40,000.
Oyesigye adds that this occurrence gives reason for optimism that, at long last, more Ugandans are beginning to value Technical Vocational Education and Training programs.
