Two more Ebola cases confirmed

Just a few days after the Uganda Ministry of Health (MOH) said the Ebola outbreak is coming under control, the latest update from the MOH show the cumulative confirmed cases have risen to 75, including 28 deaths.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng yesterday – Sunday (23rd/Oct/2022)tweeted that two more contacts to the Kassanda case, who are quarantined in Mulago Isolation facility, tested positive for Ebola .
Aceng said they have been transfered to the Entebbe ETU.
This brings the total number of Ebola cases in Kampala to 5.
On 20 September 2022 health authorities declared an outbreak of Ebola disease, caused by Sudan virus, following laboratory confirmation of a patient from a village in Madudu sub-county, Mubende district, central Uganda.
