Mbale Police are investigating circumstances under which thugs broke into Bungokho police station and stole  two AK 47 guns and a radio call.

The incident occured last night (Wednesday 23- 11-22) and three police officers are in custody to aid investigations.

While speaking to Time FM this afternoon Rogers Taitika the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident saying the culprits will be arrested in due time.

Taitika said people should be more alert, now that such armed thugs are in our communities.

Vincent Olupot a Mbale City resident said the rate at which criminals are robbing police stations countrywide, lately is worrying adding that the government needs to sort out this issue.

Olupot said they are now living in fear .
