Suspected thieves lynched in Bukwo district

Four suspected cattle thieves have been lynched by an irate mob in Bukwo district.
The incident happend this morning (friday) leaving two dead while two more were nursing grave injuries.
The four were netted at the residents’ kraals while others attempted to drive stolen cows towards Suam – the Uganda -Kenya border.
Aminsi Kayondo, the Bukwo District Police Commander identified the murdered suspects as William Linganiah a male adult aged 25 years and Muket Rengetiang, aged 32.
Both were residents of Kapterin village, Girigi parish in Kween district.
Those hospitalized with life threatening injuries included a 39-year-old Caleb Mutai, a resident of Kokwo village, Kaptererwo parish in Bukwo district.
Michael Seyek aged 34 years, who hails from Cheberen cell, Binyinyi Town Council in Kween district is one of the suspected thieves.
Cattle theft is one of the leading criminal activities reported in the border district of Bukwo.
