An angry mob at Bukhugu Sub County in Sironko district has beheaded a resident found with suspected stolen items.

The suspect only identified as Julius, a resident of Bunawodya village Buchambi Sub County in Sironko district met his death yesterday, 24th October 2022 after he was found with Television sets, beans and female shoes suspected to have been stolen.

Paulo Nangoli, the area district councilor said that the suspect was caught with suspected stolen items yesterday morning.

Nangoli said the irate locals then descended on the deceased beating him with clubs and then later chopped off his head.

Omar Kokole, the Sironko district police commander confirmed the incident and warned people against taking the law into their hands.

By press time, the body of the deceased was still at Mbale City mortuary where it was taken for postmortem.
