The joint security forces have gunned down a suspected Karamojong warrior and recovered his firearm. The incident took place at around 3am on Thursday in Nakapelimen village, Nadunget town council, Moroto district.

Micheal Longole, the Mt. Moroto Region police spokesperson says that the warrior was shot dead in a clash with the joint security forces.

He says that the deceased was part of a gang of rustlers who attempted to raid animals in Nakapelimen village.

Longole says that the forces managed to recover a firearm with 06 rounds of ammunition.
