Seven people have been confirmed dead and several others injured in an accident involving Wanagon bus reg no. UAR 293M and Gateway bus reg no.UAH 781 Z.

The incident happened next to Opiko trading center in Bukedea district at around 10:00 pm last night.

According to Eye witnesses the driver of the gateway bus who was heading towards Mbale lost control while trying to overtake a vechicle ahead of him and ended up bumping into a Wanagon bus which was heading towards Soroti leaving five dead on spot and two who died from Mbale referral hospital and those who were severly injured are currently admitted at bukedea health center and Mbale referral hospital.
