Shock has gripped residents of Muti cell in Mbale City Division after an unknown youthful lady between the ages of 18 and 20 years was killed and dumped in a septic tank full of water.

It is alleged that the body of the yet to be identified woman was dumped in a septic tank belonging to Rose Wood Hotel in Mbale City.

According to Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, Rogers Taitika,the owners of this Hotel were drawing water from the tank for construction work at the Hotel,however had for some time suspended the construction.

Mr. Taitika revealed that it’s because of the bad smell and flies from the septic tank that attracted residents who tipped the police.

He noted that Police have retrieved the body and it has been taken to Mbale City Mortuary for postmorterm as investigations proceed.
