Police in Iganga district is hunting for unknown robbers who ran away with a gun from a private security guard.

The robbers attacked Kasimu Tenywa, 27 years attached to Blue Light security group on Saturday night at his work place in one of the petrol stations in Iganga Municipality.

The unknown robbers injured Kasimu seriously and took his gun.

This incident is similar to another one that occurred 2 weeks back where the unknown men killed a security guard, Mutegula Asuman also attached to Blue Light security group at Kasokoso Central II in Iganga Central Division and took his gun.

According to the Busoga East police spokesperson, SP. Diana Nandawula, the investigation is ongoing to recover the gun and to arrest the suspects
