Police in Namisindwa district has arrested a 29 year old man for attempting to murder his father because he refused to give him a piece of land to sell.

The suspect identified as Saul Masibo, a resident of Buwambwa village, Busukuya parish, Namboko Sub County in Namisindwa district was arrested this morning, 19th September 2022.

According to Safu Sitsangi, one of the area residents, Masibo picked a quarrel with his father identified as Paulo Muzaru Nyanya  after which the latter refused to allow him sell land in order to buy a boda boda motorcycle.

Paulo Muzaru, the LCI chairperson of Buwambwa village says that Masibo acted under influence of drugs.

However, Fredrick Bango, the Resident District Commissioner of Namisindwa district has confirmed the incident saying that the suspect is at Namisindwa central police station.
