The NRM Secretary General, Richard Todwong has said President Museveni is the ruling party’s candidate for the forthcoming 2026 general election having been endorsed in 2019 by the Central Executive Committee, the party’s top organ.

He was yesterday responding to questions about the ongoing endorsements for President Museveni by different groups around the country where he noted that the youth endorsing President Museveni’s candidature for 2026 are only doing the right thing of following the party constitution.

The NRM Secretary General however noted that these are not campaigns because campaign time is still far away.
