Michael Kibwika, the new Busia District RDC has revealed that there is a lot of corruption complaints on the RDCs desk which he said he is ready to pay attention to.

The RDC noted that he is yet to invite the office of the IGG in charge of Bukedi region for a workshop with all departmental heads and accounting officers in the district to discuss the various ways of fighting corruption before he can take any action against anybody.
 
He said that he had already communicated to the accounting officer of the district to avail him with policy documents, the procurement plan, recruitment plan, approved budget and approved work plans of the district to make his monitoring task easier.

Kibwika also noted that service delivery in Busia hospital is impressive though patients complained of the facility lacking essential drugs yet the hospital had drugs however these were not being given to the patients forcing him to summon the in-charge and it was addressed.

He therefore called for cooperation from all district stakeholders for quality service delivery to the people of Busia.
