Mbale Regional Referral Hospital cleaners have laid down their tools over nonpayment of their salaries.

They say that they decided to strike because their salaries for the months of June ,July and August have not been given to them despite several pleas.

However Bruno Ojuno, the Administrator Mbale Regional Referral Hospital has refuted the claims as baseless insisting that they ‘cleaners’ only have arrears with the hospital for two months July and August 2022.

Ojuno said that the hospital contracted a private person he only identified as Bwayo to recruit, offer the cleaning services at the hospital and pay the workers.
