Mbale City and District yesterday received another batch of relief aid to support the flash flood victims .

The relief was delivered by *African Women and Youth for Development (AWYAD)* in Partnership with *Helpage* and *Start Network.*

According to the the Team Leader *AWYAD* Steven Bwayo, the package includes 10 Iron sheets, a mattress, a blanket, Nails, A basin, Water Purifier, a Jerrican among other items.

The Items are to be given to 450 households who suffered the effects of floods in the City and Mbale District but he revealed that the elderly are to be given priority during the distribution.

The Resident City Commissioner Mbale Ahamada Washaki warned the beneficiaries against selling the relief but put it to correct use.

He also urged the Beneficiaries to to refrain from Constructing in already dangerous areas and look for safer areas.

The relief will be distributed officially today to the beneficiaries in both Mbale City and Mbale District.
