Mbale police is investigating circumstances under which Mbale Resident City Commissioner (RCC) office John Roberts Rex Achilles has been burnt and many documents destroyed. 

 The arson is suspected to have happened last night (25th dec 2022)  at unknown time. 

The RCC came to know when he had reported to office to work on some reports at about 10am this morning.

Rogers Taitika the Elgon region police spokesperson confirmed the incident saying vital documents and furniture have been destroyed .

Mr. Taitika said the arsonists are suspected to have accessed the office after breaking the office back window.adding that they are reviewing Cctv footage to get the suspects.
