Mbale city police are holding two witchdoctors for abducting and sacrificing a 5 year old boy.
The suspects identified as Jamada Isiko and Ibrahim Isiko both residents of Cisse cell, Namatala ward, Industrial city division in Mbale city were arrested yesterday 31st August 2022.
Abed Gumono, the LCI chairperson of Cisse cell said Lukman Musamba, the father of the late reported to him about the disappearance of his boy three weeks ago.
He added that in the report, the father suspected the two witchdoctors for sacrificing his son having been tipped by one of his neighbors.
Gumono mobilized locals and alerted police who stormed the duo’s shrine and threatened to lynch them if they didn’t locate the missing boy.
The LCI chairperson says the witchdoctors pleaded guilty and took them to a nearby sugarcane plantation where they had buried the remains of the boy.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson said that the suspects are currently detainedat Mbale CPS waiting to answer charges of murder.
