The Manafwa district RDC Mr Okiswa Geoffrey has urged the residents within Bugisu Sub-region to embrace a culture of saving from their earnings as a way of growing finances.

He made the remarks today morning while being hosted on the morning shake up as he was briefing listeners on the current progress of the PDM and Emyooga programs with in Manafwa District where he encouraged locals to form groups so as to be able to access the Emyooga and PDM funds as these are programs by the government meant to eleviate citizens out of poverty.

Mr Gideon Dramadri a member of the mcro finance support center also encouraged the farmers within the region to access the different Regional offices to sign up for funds at relatively lower interest rates as this will help boost their farming practices with the sufficient funds provided through the programs.
