Kapchorwa district speaker wanted over assault

The police have launched a man hunt for the Kapchorwa district speaker, Stephen Musobo over alleged assault of his wife Evelyn Chebet.
According to Sipi Zonal Police spokesperson, Fredmark Chesang, the victim reported her husband (Musobo) to Kasereme Police Post in Tingye county, Kapchorwa district.
Chesang revealed that the case file has been opened under the number SDREF07/25/09/2022.
The incident occurred yesterday- Sunday, September 25 2022 at the couple’s home situated in Kaserem.
Chebet was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries, particularly those she sustained on her head.
Musobo’s known phone numbers could not go through by press time but unverified reports indicated that he was equally hospitalized.
The Kapchorwa district speaker’s domestic violence case comes a few weeks after Police announced hunt for another Sapiiny leader, Julius Chelimo, LC5 Bukwo district who is accused of defilement.
Gender based violence cases are common in Sebei sub region with some culminated into death.
