The Minister of Health has directed all district leaders to return all the vehicles donated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng made this pronouncement this morning, 30th September 2022 while addressing the Kassanda District Task Force on Ebola.


Aceng is leading a team that is assessing the Ebola outbreak situation at Kassanda, one of the affected districts in the current Ebola outbreak. She is accompanied by WHO representative, Dr. Tegeny, Dr. Henry Mwebesa and other technical officers.


In 2020, government donated brand new vehicles to districts to help Covid-19 Response Teams in the fight against the spread of Corona virus pandemic in the country.

Since the decline of the covid-19 spread, these vehicles have largely remained under the use of district officials for other purposes other than surveillance.
