Police have said that the woman captured in a video beating a toddler has had three children from three different relationships in the past few years.

Deborah Nabulime, 22 was arrested on Saturday after a video went viral in which she was captured brutalizing her 2 year old child in an incident that happened at Busula A in Katikamu Sub County in Luweero District where she resides.

In the video, Nabulime is seen beating the kid with a sandal before she fell off from a basin onto the ground and cried out. In the same video, Nabulime is seen beating the child several times as she ordered her to climb back into the basin to bathe.

The video was recorded by a concerned neighbour who shared it on social media. It’s reported that it is not the first time Nabulime has beaten up this child.

The video caused public condemnation on social media and demand for her immediate arrest .
