The High Court in Mbale has dismissed with costs ,a case that Mbale City Council had instituted against Central Investments LTD and Mbale Trucks and Pick ups Driver association over street parking fees.

In his Wednesday (26th-may-2022) ruling, the chief majistrate James Ereemye Jumire asked Mbale City Council to compensate both contractors and said he found no fault with Mbale Central Investment Ltd, urging them to proceed with collecting revenue from street parking.

Mbale City Council sued both Central Investment Ltd and Mbale Trucks and Pick ups Driver association for breaching the agreement they had, by failing to pay money to the council accounts .
City Council further awarded the tender of street parking collection fees to Nalu tour and travel investment to take over from the Central investment agency, after a long dispute.

James Kutosi ,the Mbale City Public relations officer said both parties are operating illegally which is unacceptable.
