The LCV chairperson, for Bukwo district Julius Chelimo has been urged to surrender to Police.

Chelimo is accused of defiling a 16-year-old girl on several occasions at different places including lodging facilities in Mbale, Budaka, Kampala and Kapchorwa towns.

According to the police spokesperson Fred Enanga, samples have been obtained from the victim to help with ongoing investigations.

Enanga was speaking during a weekly joint security press briefing yesterday (Tuesday), September 13 at Naguru.

He declared Chelimo a wanted man and urged members of the public privy to any information in regards to his whereabouts to inform police so that Chelimo is apprehended.

Back in Bukwo, media reports indicate the district chairperson has not reported to work in the last couple of days owing to unclear reasons.
