Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president, Patrick Amuriat is among 45 party officials arrested as security operatives raided Soroti Woman MP Anna Adeke’s home in Soroti District last night.

Ms. Adeke says that police and the army broke into her house in Akisim ward before arresting her colleagues preparing for today’s by-election.

Amuriat, several other legislators, and party officials are said to be detained in Dokolo District after the 11 pm to 3 am security raid.

However, when contacted, Mr. Oscar Ageca, police spokesperson for East Kyoga region said he was not aware of the arrest and security raid on the MP’s home which left the house doors and windows destroyed, as indicated by witnesses
