All is set for the Elgon festival this Saturday June 11, at Mbale ss grounds where a diversity of cultural values will be celebrated across the Elgon sub region.

Jeff Situma one of the coordinators of the festival,while speaking during the Time fm breakfast show this morning dubbed ‘The morning shakeup’ said a lot has been put in place to ensure the festival moves smoothly adding that they expect great performances from the Bagisu, Iteso and Sabiny among others.

Situma said the day will start with a cultural parade at 9am and people are expected to converge at Mbale City Cricket ground.

The festival Themed “Celebrating Cultural Diversity ” will be showcasing various cultures and traditions from the Elgon region through entertainment and cuisine .
Dope boy, one of the artists who will be performing at the festival said the show is meant to unite the artists who will be having live performances.

The event will feature several activities including a cultural exhibition where food, beverage and artifacts from different cultures will be showcased throughout the day.
