One killed in Mbale City road accident

A woman was knocked dead in Mbale City Centre.
The accident occurred on Palisa road near CCP Vocational training institute in Mbale City (yesterday) Tuesday 22-11-2022 ,when 2 unknown motorcycles were involved in an accident where the deceased was a passenger on one of them.
Eyewitnesses said she fell off in the middle of the road and a motor vehicle registration number UBM 217L smashed her head because it was it motion and near the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Madaya Dorothy aged 57yrs,while the Motor Vehicle driver was identified as Saidi Abdallah aged 28yrs a pharmacist, and a resident of Indian quarters.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, says that they have opened inquiries to establish the exact cause of the accident.
He said that the deceased’s body was taken to Mbale City mortuary pending postmortem.Adding that the motorcycle riders are on the run.
