A 40 year old man has been arrested after he strangled his wife’s 9 months old son and dumped the kid’s body in River Lwakhakha.

The suspect has been identified as Robert Wolukawu, a resident of Bumbotsa village, Buwasibe parish, Nabitsikhi Sub County in Namisindwa district.

According to his own pleadings, Wolukawu carried out the despicable act because his wife produced the child with his neighbor identified as Peter Kanyanya while he was away in Kenya for two years.

Frederick Bango, the Namisindwa Resident District Commissioner  says Wolukawu murdered his illegitimate son by strangling accusing his wife Annet Nafula of having an extra marital affair.

The police carried out the search with the help of neighbours after Nafula reported the case to police.
